The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) is the leading global investor network promoting responsible investment, which is an approach to investing that aims to incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into investment decisions to better manage risk and generate sustainable, long-term returns.

Supported by the United Nations, the PRI’s 1,500 signatories, who include many of the world’s leading pension funds and investment management companies, collectively manage assets of more than US$60 trillion. They commit to implement the PRI’s six Principles into their investment decision-making and active ownership practices.

Help shape the next decade of the PRI and responsible investment

To mark its 10-year anniversary, the PRI is carrying out a series of initiatives throughout 2016 to review its progress in bringing responsible investing into the mainstream and shape the future direction of the industry and the organisation. This includes global signatory and stakeholder surveys, publishing an independent evaluation of the PRI’s impact and hosting two major consultations on signatory accountability, sustainability challenges and potential revisions to the six Principles.

The PRI encourages all signatories and stakeholders to take part in these initiatives over the coming year.
